Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Police Chase in Virginia

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA — A 19-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, Jareece C. Breeden, was arrested early Sunday morning following a carjacking incident in Albemarle County. The incident occurred shortly after midnight when the victim, who was pumping gas on the 600 block of Country Green Road, was assaulted and had his vehicle, along with his wallet and cell phone, stolen.

The Albemarle County Police Department responded to the scene where the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Approximately an hour later, the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen vehicle disabled on U.S. Route 29. Breeden, identified as the driver, was taken into custody and faces charges related to the carjacking.
