Carjacking suspect found asleep in stolen vehicle, arrested in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A 27-year-old Woodlawn man was arrested after allegedly carjacking a 62-year-old man in Northwest Baltimore, only to be found sleeping in the stolen vehicle hours later, police said.

The armed carjacking occurred around 7:30 a.m. on February 16 in the 4800 block of Windsor Mill Road. Officers later located the victim’s vehicle in the 3400 block of Bateman Avenue, where the suspect was discovered asleep inside.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with multiple counts of carjacking and armed robbery.
