Carlisle Resident Reports Online Bank Fraud

CARLISLE, PA – Carlisle Police received a report of fraudulent online bank activity on Tuesday.

The victim notified the police after their bank informed them of multiple unauthorized transactions, resulting in over $3,000 being transferred to another bank.

The victim discovered that the email address associated with their online bank account had been fraudulently changed, allowing the suspect(s) to gain access and transfer funds.

The bank has reimbursed the victim for the stolen amount. Carlisle Police are actively investigating the incident in collaboration with the bank.
