Caught on camera! Robbery suspects flee after beating victim in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a robbery that took place Monday evening in Northwest D.C.

Police reported that the incident happened around 5:21 p.m. on the 800 block of 9th Street NW. According to the MPD, multiple suspects approached a victim, physically assaulted them, and stole their belongings before fleeing the area.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the individuals they believe were involved in the robbery. The images, taken from nearby security cameras, show the suspects moments before or after the attack.

The MPD has not released additional identifying details of the suspects but is urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to step forward.

“Anyone who can identify these suspects or who has knowledge of this incident, should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411,” the department stated.

The department is currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in connection with this robbery.

Community urged to assist

No information has been released about the condition of the victim following the attack, and it is unclear whether the individuals involved were armed.
