Ceiling Fan Causes Fire in Manchester Township Home

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A bathroom ceiling fan was the source of a house fire in the Leisure Village West gated community, according to Manchester police. The fire occurred on Edinburgh Lane around 3:35 PM last Saturday.

Firefighters from Manchester, Ridgeway, and Whiting swiftly extinguished the flames. The homeowners were not present at the time; instead, a cleaning crew was in the house. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the residents were not displaced.

The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
