Charges Pending in Essex Shooting Incident Involving Two Juveniles

ESSEX, MD – Charges are pending in a shooting incident that took place on Friday, at around 8:10 pm, in Essex. Baltimore County Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting in the 900 block of S. Marlyn Ave.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported the juveniles to nearby hospitals for treatment. Early investigations indicate that the incident was an isolated event that resulted from a verbal disagreement near Sandalwood Elementary School.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit, who are currently investigating the case, are not looking for additional suspects at this time. They are asking anyone with additional information about this incident to contact 410-307-2020.
