Chesapeake Police Investigate Fatal Crash

Chesapeake, VA — Early this morning, Chesapeake Police officers responded to a call about a vehicle submerged in a pond in the 200 block of Red Cedar Court.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 16, officers arrived to find the vehicle completely submerged. The police department’s dive team was dispatched and successfully retrieved the vehicle. An adult male inside was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Chesapeake Police Department.
