Chesapeake police investigate shooting on Portsmouth Boulevard

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Chesapeake late Monday night.

Officers responded to the 5000 block of Portsmouth Boulevard around 10:20 p.m. on December 9 and found an adult male who had been shot while inside his vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Authorities have not identified a suspect, and no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released. The investigation remains active.
