Chicago man arrested for 2021 drive-by shooting, vehicle crash that killed woman

Chicago, IL – The Chicago Police Department has charged Ollonzo Wilson, 38, with one felony count of murder, one felony count of aggravated discharge firearm in an occupied vehicle, and one felony count of failure to report an accident or death. The charges stem from an incident that took place on October 3, 2021, where Wilson discharged a firearm before fleeing at a high rate of speed, causing a traffic crash that killed a 37-year-old female and injured a 27-year-old male.

Wilson was arrested on April 24, 2023, in the 2700 block of S. California and was subsequently identified as the offender responsible for the fatal motor vehicle accident. He appeared in Central Bond Court, located at 2600 S. California, on April 26, 2023.

The Chicago Police Department did not release any additional information regarding the arrest.
