Chicago Man Arrested for Carjacking

CHICAGO, IL — Jerry Wilson, a 39-year-old Chicago resident, faces charges of vehicular hijacking. Wilson, who resides on the 7100 block of S. Jeffery Blvd., was apprehended by the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force.

The arrest occurred on March 5 at 1:03 p.m. in the 3800 block of W. Harrison, following an incident where Wilson forcibly took a vehicle from a 41-year-old man in the 7200 block of S. Merrill. He is scheduled for a detention hearing at 2600 S. California on March 6.

Wilson’s capture and subsequent charging were the result of efficient police work by the task force. Further details on the case are pending.
