Chicago Man Charged with First-Degree Murder

CHICAGO, IL – Daeshawn Hill, 21, from the 0-100 block of E. 108th St., Chicago, Illinois, faces a first-degree murder charge following his arrest by the Chicago Police Department. The arrest occurred on December 1, in the 400 block of Miami St. in Park Forest, Illinois.

Hill was identified as the suspect in the April 30, 2023, shooting death of a 40-year-old man on the 0-100 block of W. 113th St. in Chicago’s 5th District. The incident took place at approximately 12:54 p.m.

Following his arrest, Hill was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder. He is scheduled for a detention hearing on December 3, at the court located at 2600 S. California.

The Chicago Police Department has not released additional information regarding the case.
