Child Luring Attempt Reported in Manchester

MANCHESTER, NJ – the Manchester Police Department is investigating a possible luring attempt that took place in the Pine Park section of the township.

According to police, on Saturday, at approximately 6:45 PM, a tan-colored SUV stopped in front of a residence located in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township.

“Shortly after, the driver attempted to lure two juveniles into his vehicle before they ran into a residence and the suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. The driver was described as a middle-aged male with a darker complexion and black facial hair,” police said.

At this time, it is believed the male was operating an early to mid-2000s Chevrolet Equinox with a distinguishing black rear bumper.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
