Child Rescued in Near Drowning Incident in Hernando County

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL – A near-drowning event involving a child occurred in Hernando County prompting swift action from local authorities and first responders. Deputies, along with Fire Rescue personnel, were dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident.

Upon arrival, deputies found that a relative had already provided first aid to the unconscious child, who was discovered at the shallow end of a swimming pool. The timely intervention led to the child regaining consciousness.

Fire Rescue teams offered medical assistance and coordinated a helicopter transport for the victim. To understand the circumstances surrounding the incident, both Major Case detectives and Forensics units were called to the scene for a comprehensive investigation.
