Christmas Morning Fire Claims One Life in Elkton

ELKTON, MD – A team of Deputy State Fire Marshals is currently investigating a fatal fire in Elkton that resulted in one death. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Willow Drive.

Singerly Fire Company, along with surrounding departments, responded to the reported dwelling fire. Firefighters entered the home and rescued an individual. Unfortunately, the person was pronounced deceased.

The scene remains active as the investigation continues. More information will be provided as it becomes available, with the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal leading the inquiry.
