Clamfest returns to New Jersey with clams food fireworks and funnel cakes

HIGHLANDS, N.J. — The 30th Annual Highlands Clam Fest kicked off Friday at Huddy Park, launching a weekend packed with seafood, live music, and a fireworks finale along the Jersey Shore.

Running through Sunday, the long-standing summer event spans Bay and Waterwitch Avenues and offers a mix of food trucks, festival favorites like Lions Club funnel cakes, and a Beer, Wine, and Sangria Garden at the corner of Waterwitch and Bay. Entry and parking are free, and the festival is held rain or shine.

Friday’s festivities began at 6 p.m. and continue until 11 p.m. Saturday runs from noon to 11 p.m., culminating in a 10 p.m. fireworks display over Snug Harbor Beach produced by Serpico Pyrotechnics. Sunday wraps up the weekend from noon to 8 p.m.

“The Highlands Business Partnership will host its 30th Annual Clam Fest from August 1st to 3rd,” event organizers confirmed in a release.

Live entertainment is scheduled throughout each day, with music stages and local acts drawing crowds to the waterfront park. Attendees can expect a mix of seafood vendors, fair-style food stands, and family-friendly attractions.

This year marks a milestone for the popular festival, which has become a staple of the Bayshore’s summer scene.

The Highlands Clam Fest draws food lovers and beachgoers for a free, seaside celebration that ends with a bang.
