MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Montgomery County Police’s Major Crimes Division have charged 25-year-old Jerald McCalla of Clarksburg with auto theft and related offenses.

In May, a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT was fraudulently stolen from a car dealership in Farmington, Missouri. Montgomery County Police detectives traced the stolen vehicle back to McCalla in July.

A search warrant executed last Thursday at McCalla’s residence in Clarksburg led to the recovery of the stolen Jeep, as well as multiple unsecured and unregistered firearms.

Investigators determined that children, one as young as seven, lived in the residence where the unsecured firearms were located.

McCalla was arrested on charges from the Farmington Police Department and new charges from Montgomery County relating to the recovered stolen vehicle and the seized firearms.
