CLARKSTOWN, NY – The intersection of Westview Avenue in Old Haverstraw Road in Congers was renamed this week in memory of a fallen New York City firefighter who lost his life during the September 11, 2021 terrorist attack in New York City.

Firefighter John Daniel Marshall Way was dedicated by members of the community and the family of John Marshall.

“John Daniel “Danny” Marshall responded with FDNY E23 to the World Trade Center 21 years ago,” the Clarkstown Police Department said in a statement. “It was special to see how the community gathered to remember John “Danny” and be there again for his widow Lori and children Paige and John.”
