WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Christopher Greco, a 52-year-old co-founder of Christopher’s Voice, Inc., a charity for autistic children, has been sentenced following his guilty plea to petit larceny.
Greco, also a retired police officer, admitted to misappropriating approximately $24,000 from the New Rochelle-based organization.
Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah highlighted the betrayal of trust by Greco, who used charity funds for personal expenses between January 2018 and May.
Greco’s actions led to his one-year conditional discharge sentence and full restitution payment to the charity.
As part of his plea, Greco has also transferred $49,750, which includes the restitution, to the Elizabeth Seton Children’s Foundation. Additionally, he is required to dissolve Christopher’s Voice, Inc. and is barred from engaging in any charitable activities pending the dissolution.
