Colorado School Bus Aide Faces More Charges for Alleged Assault on Nonverbal Autistic Students

Littleton – A Colorado school bus aide is set to be arraigned on July 1 for allegedly striking three nonverbal students with autism. The aide, Kiarra Jones, 28, faces multiple felony and misdemeanor counts, after video footage captured her hitting a student multiple times.

Investigations began on March 28 following reports of possible child abuse on a Littleton Public Schools bus, leading to Jones’ arrest and subsequent posting of a $5,000 bond. The parents of the students involved have engaged legal representation after their children suffered severe injuries, including a knocked-out tooth, fractured bones, and deep bruises.
