Columbia Police Arrest Man for Aggravated Assault after Gunfire Incident

COLUMBIA, PA – Today, at around 3:36 a.m., Columbia Police received a call reporting an assault in the 400 block of Locust St. The victim claimed that someone had fired a gun at him during an argument. Upon arrival at the scene, officers conducted a preliminary investigation, which led them to identify the suspect as Tyrone Hunter.

Hunter cooperated with the police and surrendered without incident. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. The police closed the 400 block of Locust St. for several hours during the investigation to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Tyrone Hunter is currently being held and awaiting trial. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Authorities urge anyone with further information regarding this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
