Columbus man shot and killed in drive-by shooting while driving

COLUMBUS, OH – On Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 4:52 pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to Mount Carmel East Hospital on a report of a patient with a gunshot wound.

On arrival, officers found the decedent, 27-year-old Malik Price, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Price had been transported to Mount Carmel East in a private vehicle, but did not survive his injuries & was pronounced deceased at 5:45 pm.

Price was a passenger in a vehicle.

At the intersection of Courtright Rd. and Petzinger Ct. the occupants of another vehicle opened fire on the car Price was riding in, fatally wounding Price. After the shooting, Price was driven to Mount Carmel East. What led up to the shooting is currently under investigation.
