Columbus police searching for suspect in armed threat at convenience store

COLUMBUS, O.H. — Detectives with the Columbus Division of Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed threat against store employees on the 3700 block of Karl Road.

The incident occurred on December 21, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m., when a male suspect was denied service at a local convenience store.

Following a verbal dispute with store clerks, the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and threatened the employees before leaving the store.

The suspect is described as a white male between 15 and 19 years old, wearing a black North Face jacket, jeans, and blue and white tennis shoes.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
