REISTERSTOWN, MD — A Baltimore County woman walked away with a $100,000 prize after playing the $5,000,000 Cash scratch-off game, though she initially underestimated her big win.

The loyal Maryland Lottery player matched all 50 numbers on her ticket but became confused while tallying the prizes. With numerous $1,000 and $10,000 prizes mixed in with $200 prizes, she initially thought she’d won $60,000. Upon a closer look, she discovered her total winnings amounted to $100,000.

The retired government worker, a Reisterstown resident, plans to use her winnings to help her daughter buy a new home. She purchased the lucky ticket at the Reisterstown Royal Farms located at 15 Hanover Pike.

The $5,000,000 Cash game, launched in February 2024, still has three $5 million top prizes remaining and seven more $100,000 prizes to be claimed, along with over a million smaller prizes ranging from $100 to $10,000.
