SOMERS, CT — A Powerball ticket purchased in Somers has delivered a $150,000 prize to a local player, according to recent lottery records.

The winning ticket, sold by Small Town LLC in Somers, was claimed on July 7 by Russell R. of Somers, CT. The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, and included the Power Play option, which tripled the standard $50,000 prize to $150,000.

The Connecticut Lottery has not disclosed whether the prize has been claimed in full or if additional winners were involved in the same draw.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, offering jackpots that start at $20 million and grow based on nationwide sales.
