Conoy Township man charged after 3-year-old daughter killed in farming accident

CONOY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Conoy Township man has been charged with felony endangering the welfare of children after his 3-year-old daughter was killed in a farming accident last year, authorities said.

Anthony Lamar Nolt, 33, allowed his 10-year-old son to drive a tractor towing a concrete mixer while the victim sat on the platform of the mixer without adult supervision, investigators determined. The incident occurred on the morning of July 20, 2024, at Nolt’s farm in the 2300 block of River Road.

The child was killed when she fell from the mixer and was crushed by its wheels. Police estimated that the tractor and mixer had a combined weight of more than 16,300 pounds.

An investigation revealed that Nolt was operating a skid loader 20 to 50 feet away from his children at the time of the accident.

The case is one of three fatal farm-related incidents reported in Lancaster County in 2024.
