A 14-year-old boy was arrested Saturday after police tracked down a stolen vehicle in Northeast Baltimore and chased down two juveniles who tried to flee the scene, according to authorities.
The vehicle had been reported stolen on June 30 from the 5500 block of Ritter Avenue. On Saturday at about 6:40 p.m., officers from the Eastern District Action Team, with assistance from the Foxtrot aviation unit, located the car in the 3200 block of Dudley Avenue.
The suspects inside the car fled on foot. Officers quickly apprehended the 14-year-old driver along with a 12-year-old passenger, police said.
The 14-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and charged with multiple counts of auto theft. The 12-year-old was released to a family member due to his age.
“The suspects fled from the vehicle, but detectives were able to apprehend the 14-year-old driver and a 12-year-old passenger,” police said.
The 14-year-old had not been identified due to his age.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
