Cops nab man charged in DC shooting that wounded teen, two adults

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 20-year-old Maryland man has been arrested in connection with a triple shooting that broke out during a large altercation earlier this month on U Street Northwest, the Metropolitan Police Department announced Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 2:55 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, when Third District officers responded to the 900 block of U Street NW. As officers arrived on scene, they observed a large disturbance and heard multiple gunshots.

Police found two adult males and a juvenile male suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, May 20, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Davian Raines of Camp Springs, Maryland. He has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) under a DC Superior Court warrant.
