Couple Broke into Akron Home then Tried to Cash Checks at Bank with Stolen Car

AKRON, OH – A couple is being sought by police after committing a home burglary on March 3rd and trying to cash forged checks they stole from their victim.

According to police, on March 3, at around 3 a.m., the suspects broke into the victim’s house in the 900 block of Chinook Ave., stealing several items, including the victim’s checkbook, wallet, and cell phone.

“The suspects were later caught on PNC Bank surveillance cameras trying to deposit one of the victim’s checks in the pictured vehicle,” police said.
