Couple Killed in Double Homicide Assault in Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A middle-aged couple is dead today after being victims of a violent assault in northeast Baltimore and police believe it is an isolated incident. Their killer remains at-large as a police investigation continues.

Details are minimal regarding the double homicide. Here’s what police have said so far.

“On July 10, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the 8700 block of Lackawanna Avenue., 21234 in reference to a call for an assault,” the Baltimore County Police Department said. “Once on scene, officers located 47-year-old Veronica Ramirez suffering from severe trauma. Ms. Ramirez was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.”

While still at the location officers also discovered 52-year-old Gerardo Sanjuan-Ramirez who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Both Ms. Ramirez and Mr. Sanjuan-Ramirez have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending autopsy.

Detectives believe this is an isolated incident, and are not seeking any other individuals in reference to this incident. Police did not confirm whether or not the incident was a murder suicide.
