Holmdel, NJ — A vehicle left the roadway on Highway 35 near Extra Space Storage on Sunday around 1:30 p.m., striking a water utility box and drawing a response from Holmdel Police, officials said.

The operator of the vehicle was taken to Bayshore Hospital for injuries following the crash. No additional occupants were reported.

One lane was closed during the on-scene investigation. Police said the roadway has since fully reopened.

Crash near storage facility

The incident occurred adjacent to the Extra Space Storage site along Route 35. Authorities did not release the make or model of the vehicle. Damage to the water utility box was noted at the scene.

Witnesses sought
