Crash and Fuel Spill Causing Major Delays on Route 1 & 9 Truck Route in North Jersey

Kearny, NJ — A crash and fuel spill occurred on the US 1&9 Truck Route southbound, north of Jacobus Avenue. The incident began at 8:02 a.m. on Monday and was last updated at 8:15 a.m.

As a result, one of the two southbound lanes is closed. Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution while traveling through the area. The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJ DOT) is managing the situation.
