Suspect detained after armed robbery in Northwest DC
WASHINGTON, DC – A suspect was taken into custody Sunday afternoon following an armed robbery in the 800 block of 10th Street Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. in the city’s Second District (PSA 201–209). Responding officers received a lookout for a Black male, tall and slim in build, wearing a cream-colored jacket and reportedly armed with a handgun.
The suspect was quickly located and is currently detained. No injuries or additional suspect information has been reported at this time.
Police have not released details regarding any stolen items or the condition of the victim, and the investigation remains active.
