CROFTON, MD — A Powerball player in Anne Arundel County is celebrating a $50,000 win after purchasing a ticket for the Monday, Jan. 13 drawing at a Crofton convenience store.

The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 2129 Defense Highway. The winning numbers were 4, 6, 16, 39, and 66, with the Powerball number 9 and a Power Play multiplier of 2.

Although no player claimed the jackpot, Maryland saw 11,184 winners collecting prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000 in the latest drawing. This marks the fourth $50,000 Powerball prize claimed in Maryland this year.

Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them securely. Prizes exceeding $25,000 must be claimed in person or by mail through the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, with appointments required for in-person claims.

The Powerball jackpot now stands at an estimated $303 million for the next drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 15, with a cash option of $132.8 million.
