Cumberland County Human Trafficking Operation Nets 60 Arrests To Date

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, MD – An intensified operation against human trafficking, dubbed “Operation Impact Demand VI”, has been recently carried out.

The operation is been spearheaded by the Hampden Township Police in collaboration with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office and Sheriff’s Department.

Last Friday, a noteworthy number of fifteen individuals were arrested, marking a significant increase in comparison to previous operations.

District Attorney Seán M. McCormack expressed gratitude towards the collaborating departments.

He emphasized that, since June 2022, a total of 60 individuals have been arrested through such operations, which aim to disrupt the funding for human trafficking activities in the county.
