Cumberland Man Arrested for Burglary and Violating Protective Order

Cumberland, MD — Early Monday morning, Cumberland City Police apprehended 29-year-old Joshua Michael Clark Sr. following a reported burglary in the 200 block of Park Street. Clark was taken into custody around 1:15 AM after allegedly entering a residence without permission.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by the residents that Clark had violated a protective order by entering their home. This violation was confirmed through the 911 Joint Communications Center. A subsequent search of the area led to Clark’s arrest a short distance from the scene.

At the time of his arrest, Clark was found to be carrying a large concealed knife. He has been charged with violating a protective order, fourth-degree burglary, and carrying a concealed dangerous weapon. Clark was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he awaits a bond hearing.
