Cumberland Man Held Without Bond on Drug Possession Charges

CUMBERLAND, MD—The Cumberland Police Department reported the arrest of Christopher Lewis Tilson, 24, of Cumberland, Maryland, on charges related to controlled dangerous substance (CDS) possession. Following a Grand Jury Indictment by the Allegany County Circuit Court, an arrest warrant was executed on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Tilson was promptly taken before a District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance, where he was ordered to be held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. The legal proceedings followed a formal indictment concerning CDS possession, highlighting ongoing law enforcement efforts against drug-related offenses in the area.
