Cumberland Police Arrest Suspect in Late-Night Burglary

CUMBERLAND, MD – Early Saturday morning, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to a breaking and entering report on Columbia Street. At approximately 1:28 AM, they apprehended 39-year-old Brandon Lee Spiker at the scene.

Spiker is accused of entering a home on Independence Street and removing items from the garage. Following his arrest, he faced charges including first and fourth-degree burglary and disorderly conduct. A District Court Commissioner has since held him on a $5,000 bond. The investigation continues as local authorities pursue further details in the case.
