Cumberland Police Arrest Woman for Residential Burglary and Theft

CUMBERLAND, MD – A late-night break-in led to the arrest of a woman on multiple charges. Yesterday, at around 12:20 am, Cumberland Police officers responded to a reported breaking and entering on the 600 block of Fairview Avenue. Witnesses at the scene provided officers with a description of the suspect, the getaway vehicle, and the stolen items.

Officers quickly located a vehicle matching the description provided and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Candice Mallow, matched the suspect’s description and was found in possession of the stolen items.

Mallow was arrested and charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, and Theft $100-$1,500. She was held on a $1,000 bond before a District Court Commissioner.
