Cumberland Police Execute Bench Warrant for Narcotics Charge

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Monday, Cumberland Police Department officers served a Circuit Court bench warrant to 44-year-old Andrew Getz of Cumberland.

The warrant was the result of a Grand Jury Indictment charging Getz with the intent to distribute narcotics.

Getz was taken into custody without incident and has been transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.

He is currently being held without bond pending his initial court appearance.

The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by the Cumberland Police Department to address drug-related crimes within the community.
