Cumberland woman arrested as fugitive wanted in West Virginia assault case

CUMBERLAND, MD — A 35-year-old woman was arrested Sunday in Cumberland on a fugitive warrant linked to an assault charge in West Virginia, police said.

On July 27, officers with the Cumberland Police Department took Kaisha Delicia Urgent into custody after learning she had an extraditable warrant out of Mineral County, West Virginia, for malicious assault.

Urgent was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, where she is being held without bond. She is awaiting extradition to West Virginia.
