Cumberland Woman Arrested on Multiple Assault Charges

CUMBERLAND, MD – Cumberland Police Department (CPD) officers executed an arrest warrant on January 10 for 28-year-old Hope Ann Schell. The warrant was issued following an incident on Springdale Street, where Schell reportedly used a household tool to assault another individual.

Schell faces charges including first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and dangerous weapon with intent to injure. Following the warrant service, she was detained at Allegany County Detention Center, where she awaits her hearing.
