Cumberland Woman Charged For Running Over Man During Argument

CUMBERLAND, MD — A disturbance in the 900 block of Grand Ave led to the arrest of Brittany Renee Clark, 37, of Cumberland, MD, on Friday, May 3. Cumberland City Police were called to the scene where they found a male victim injured after a reported altercation.

The conflict began inside a vehicle and escalated when the victim exited and approached a nearby home. As he walked in front of the vehicle, the driver, identified as Clark, allegedly accelerated and struck him. She then fled the scene. The victim was treated by the Cumberland Fire Department for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police located Clark and the vehicle shortly after. She was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. Clark was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond after an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
