D.C. Armed Robber Captured On Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are on the lookout for a man in connection with an assault and attempted robbery at a business located in Northwest D.C. on September 19th.

At around 9:34 p.m., the suspect reportedly made his way into a business on the 2000 block of Florida Avenue. He then allegedly demanded money from an employee while brandishing a knife. However, the suspect hastily fled the scene empty-handed after being confronted by a customer present at the business.

The authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or details about the incident to contact the police at (202) 727-9099, or text their tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, and not to engage the individual.
