D.C. Boy Shot Multiple Times Near Nationals Park

Washington, D.C. — Authorities are asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a shooting.

On Wednesday, at approximately 2:20 a.m., the victims were inside a residence in the 1400 block of 1st Street, Southwest, when the suspect entered, brandished a handgun, and shot them before fleeing.

A boy was shot in the chest and one leg, and was identified only as a juvenile male. Another victim, a man, was shot in the shoulder. Further information about his identity was not released. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras.
