D.C. burglary suspects caught on camera after cash stolen from store register

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a burglary that took place early Saturday morning in Southeast Washington.

Officers responded to a report of a break-in around 5:00 a.m. on November 9th in the 400 block of 8th Street SE. According to police, an employee arrived at the business to find the cash register had been broken into and money was missing.

The suspect was captured on surveillance footage, and images from the video have been released in hopes that someone can help identify the individual.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
