D.C. Detectives Announce Arrest in August Armed Carjacking Case

WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest in connection to an armed carjacking that occurred on August 9, 2023.

At approximately 10:29 p.m. on that date, suspects approached a victim in the 2900 block of Denver Street, Southeast. The victim’s property, including vehicle keys, were stolen before the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.

On September 20, a 16-year-old male from Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
