D.C. Man Found Shot, Dead in Oxon Hill, No Suspects Identified

Oxon Hill, MD – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of Tyrone Jones, 45, of Washington, DC, which occurred on Saturday morning.

On July 6 at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Southern Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found Jones in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Detectives are currently working to determine the motive and identify any suspects involved in the shooting. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
