PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — A 22-year-old Washington, D.C. resident has been identified as the victim of a fatal triple shooting that occurred Monday evening outside a liquor store in Mount Rainier. Freiver Yanez-Salas was found with a gunshot wound inside a car parked in the 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue.

Yanez-Salas died at the scene, while two additional victims—a man and a woman—were critically injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The shooting has left many community members alarmed and searching for answers as violence continues to escalate in the area.

“We see the police around here often, but it’s really up to the people to make a change if we want the violence to stop,” said local resident Stephon Jackson, reflecting the frustration of many in the neighborhood.

Prince George’s County Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Investigators are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
