D.C. Metro Police Seek Public’s Aid in Identifying Knife Assault Suspect

Washington, D.C. – Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a knife assault in Northwest Washington.

On Wednesday, at approximately 1:55 PM, an individual was attacked with a knife by the suspect on the 1700 block of Lamont Street and subsequently fled the scene. The victim received medical attention at a local hospital for injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Authorities have obtained footage of the suspect from nearby cameras.

The police urge anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to refrain from intervening and instead contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
