D.C. Police Announce Arrest in Murder of 21-Year-Old

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the shooting death of 21-year-old Juwaan Henry of Maryland. Henry was shot multiple times shortly after 8 pm on August 25th, 2022.

The shooting took place at the 800 Block of 7th Street in Northwest D.C. After Henry was found with multiple gunshot wounds, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

25-year-old Dwayne Brooks, Junior, of D.C. was arrested on Wednesday by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He was charged with First Degree Murder.
